Bio

Sheinal Jayantilal, based in our Dubai office, helps leading financial institutions around the world shape ambitious growth strategies, reconfigure their organisations, strengthen marketing, and win in retail banking and digital. Sheinal is a core leader of McKinsey’s Retail and Digital Banking Service Line His work particularly focuses on helping major banking groups shape innovative direct and digital retail-banking business models. For example, he helped a global bank develop and launch a disruptive value-for-money banking business model in Latin America, South East Asia, and Europe. Sheinal is also an active member of the McKinsey banking strategy and corporate finance practice where he has worked with leading global financial institutions develop their corporate strategy, optimize their portfolio mix and support in mergers & acquisitions. Other examples of Sheinal’s work include developing the business plan and strategy for a greenfield retail-banking operation, redefining the business model for a large universal bank, and developing a branch model focused on sales and customer service for another major bank. In marketing, Sheinal helped a retail bank strengthen its competitiveness through improved segment value propositions, product offerings and pricing. In distribution, he helped another retail bank design and implement a new channel-distribution strategy, including branch expansion. He also led an effort to improve the effectiveness of a major bank’s credit-recovery processes. Sheinal has also helped design and implement a holistic cost-cutting programme for a large multinational bank, and he has supported various banks in simplifying their organizational structure. Prior to joining McKinsey, Sheinal worked at Eurohypo AG in London in real estate investment banking.
